My next project
NV 5121 arriving.
My latest project arrived on Saturday 14 July 01, it is a 1935 Standard 9, 4 door saloon.
The colour is black but looks brown on the picture, this is the rust!
As I strip it down and rebuild it I will update the web pages to keep you in the picture but
it will be a slow job.
The previous owner told me that the car has not been on the road since 1954 ( the last tax disc is with the car!)
and has been stored under a tarpaulin sheet, this has made it sweat and so has brought the paint off.

I have now finished stripping the car, here is the body in the garage waiting for attention.
These are the components posing for the camera
As the car was standing in the garage it looked "not too bad" but when I started to strip it down
the condition of the body especially became apparent, there was rust allover the surface and many of the
edges were corroded thus requiring new material welding in position. The runnning boards will definately
have to be replaced. Most of the nuts and bolts were rusted solid and so I had to drill them out
to release them. Surprisingly the seats are in quite good condition
and if I can get material to match I will re-fit them as they are. (after a good cleaning).
The restoration starts here, the first job being the chassis frame, see page 11.
