The rear axle ready for fitting.
As the car had been standing for almost 50 years the crown wheel was rusted and pitted on the top half as it was not submerged in the oil, the bottom half was as new! So a new crown wheel and pinion set was fitted. New oil seals were fitted to the half shafts and the rear hubs.

March 12 2002

The gearbox overhauled and ready for fitting.
The gears and shafts were found to be almost as new with no wear to be seen. New oil seals were fitted front and rear.

April 26 2002

A New Fuel tank, shown in primer for clarity.
The fuel tank was rusty and porous so I had to make a new one, all the joints were soldered with "tinmans" solder.
